Cetățean moldovean reținut în Rusia

A Moldovan citizen, Nicolae Cociu, was arrested in Russia for allegedly attempting to assassinate a high-ranking Russian military officer. The Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that the incident occurred on September 3 in Saratov, where Cociu allegedly fired at least six shots at the officer, who survived. Investigators claim he was recruited by Ukrainian special services in 2025 and trained in Kyiv. After entering Russia, he received details about the target and was promised a $70,000 reward for the assassination. The FSB released statements from Cociu, who reportedly confessed to the plot.
