Cetatea dacică uitată care poate fi vizitată. Construită de regele Burebista. I se spune „Cetatea Vulturilor” • Newsweek România
The ancient Dacian fortress at Bănița, built by King Burebista over 2,000 years ago, is now accessible to tourists through a thematic trail. Known as the "Eagle Fortress," it served as a strategic defense point. The site has been renovated and is part of a new tourist route that includes the stunning Bănița Gorges. The trail, which is moderately difficult, spans 0.57 km and takes about 40 minutes to complete. Visitors are encouraged to prepare adequately and respect the cultural heritage. The project is a collaboration between MCDR Deva and local authorities, promoting the fortress alongside nearby attractions like the Bolii Cave.
