Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant to enter shutdown procedure in next 48 hours

The Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant is set to shut down within two days due to critically low water levels in the Danube. Sorin Rîndașu from Apele Române announced that the water flow has decreased significantly, reaching a threshold that necessitates the shutdown. Current forecasts indicate continued low flow rates, with estimates suggesting that the plant will not be able to operate under these conditions. Dredging efforts are ongoing, but they are unlikely to prevent the shutdown.
