Political leaders and civil society are urging the European Commission to disclose the findings of its investigation into electoral interference. Nathalie Loiseau emphasized that discussions should not remain private between companies and bureaucrats. The European Parliament has called for a swift conclusion to the investigation regarding TikTok's role in the cancellation of Romania's 2024 presidential elections, highlighting serious risks related to foreign interference. Loiseau and Tomas Tobe expressed frustration over the lack of a timeline for the Commission's response, insisting that transparency is crucial for democracy. They compared the urgency of this issue to food safety scandals, stressing that democracy should not be compromised.
