Cererile de azil în Marea Britanie au scăzut cu 21% față de anul precedent

The number of asylum applications in the UK decreased by 21% from June 2025 to June 2026, reaching the lowest annual level since 2022. A total of 85,891 people applied for asylum, with 40% arriving via small boats across the English Channel. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood stated that the government is regaining control over borders and improving the migration system. Since the Labour Party took power in July 2024, the number of asylum seekers in hotels has halved, and deportations have increased. The government aims to end hotel accommodations for asylum seekers by 2029, planning to relocate them to military bases despite local opposition.
