Cercetătorii au descoperit legătura dintre tensiunea mare și degradarea cartilajului

A recent study from South Korea suggests a significant link between high blood pressure and the development of osteoarthritis. Researchers found that hypertension may contribute to cartilage degradation through the hormone arginine-vasopressin (AVP). The study analyzed data from over 36,000 individuals aged 45 and older, revealing a higher likelihood of osteoarthritis in those with hypertension, particularly among women. Experiments on mice showed that hypertension exacerbated cartilage loss in affected joints. The findings indicate that a combination of joint injury or aging and hypertension is necessary for this degradation process. Further research is needed to confirm these results in humans and explore potential treatments for hypertension-related osteoarthritis.
