CEO-ul Terapia Cluj spune că România riscă să depindă tot mai mult de medicamentele din import. „Vom sta cu mâna întinsă”

Romania faces increasing dependence on imported medications due to local manufacturers' investment uncertainties, according to Dragoș Damian, CEO of Terapia Cluj. He emphasized the lack of a national strategy for the pharmaceutical industry, affecting both producers and patients. Damian pointed out that Romanian pharmaceutical exports are significantly lower than those of a single Hungarian factory, highlighting the need for a comprehensive industrial strategy. He warned that without investment incentives, existing producers may halt further investments, leading to a reliance on imports, which poses risks for the healthcare system and economy. Recently, the interim Health Minister announced an urgent audit to assess medication availability amid ongoing supply issues.
