The Romanian Ministry of Energy announced the restart of the Rovinari power plant group to address the energy crisis caused by the Cernavoda nuclear plant's shutdown. This measure aims to compensate for the energy loss, providing an additional 330 MWh. The Oltenia Energy Complex can operationalize the group within eight hours, ensuring sufficient coal stocks for continuous operation. Currently, three energy groups are in commercial operation, with the potential to increase output during peak demand.
