Centrala nucleară sloveno-croată își reduce producția din cauza nivelului scăzut al râului Sava

The Krško nuclear power plant in Slovenia will reduce its output to 80% due to low water levels and high temperatures in the Sava River. Additional restrictions may be implemented if necessary. The plant, a joint project of Slovenia and Croatia, provides about 20% of Slovenia's and 16% of Croatia's electricity needs. Meanwhile, low water levels in the Danube are causing energy supply issues in the Balkans, affecting other nuclear plants. Slovenia's parliament has canceled a planned referendum on a new nuclear plant, while Croatia is advancing legislation for nuclear energy development.
