The Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary is set to return to its maximum capacity of 2,000 MW after weeks of restrictions due to low Danube water levels. Prime Minister Peter Magyar announced the gradual restart of turbines following the reinforcement of a dam. Currently, two of the eight turbines are operational, generating about 500 MW. The third turbine is expected to restart soon, contingent on improved water levels. However, the situation remains precarious, as forecasts suggest potential declines in water levels if rainfall does not occur.
