Centrala nucleară Paks din Ungaria ar putea rămâne oprită mai multe săptămâni

Hungary's Paks nuclear power plant, which supplies about half of the country's electricity, will be shut down due to record low water levels in the Danube. This shutdown may last several weeks, as the water levels are expected to remain too low for safe operation. The plant's reactors are currently operating at less than 50% capacity and are set to be completely offline soon. The Hungarian government has urged industrial companies to reduce their energy consumption amid a heatwave that is expected to increase electricity demand significantly. Prime Minister Peter Magyar stated that Hungary can compensate for energy needs through imports, but the combination of lower domestic production and higher demand could lead to a critical situation in the energy system.
