The Kozloduy nuclear power plant in Bulgaria is gradually returning to normal capacity after a reduction due to low Danube water levels. One reactor is operating at nearly full capacity, while the other continues at maximum output. The Danube's water level has risen, allowing the plant to resume normal operations. With a total capacity of 2,000 megawatts, Kozloduy supplies about 30% of Bulgaria's electricity. Opened 52 years ago, only two of its six reactors are currently operational due to previous closures mandated by the European Commission.
