Centrala nucleară de la Cernavodă nu va fi redeschisă mai devreme de 10 septembrie
Cristian Bușoi, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, announced that the Cernavodă nuclear power plant will not resume operations before September 10 due to insufficient water levels. Although the Danube's flow is increasing, it has not yet reached a stable level for safe operation. Bușoi emphasized the importance of safety procedures and stated that a decision on restarting one of the reactors could be made around September 10, depending on water levels. He assured that the plant would operate during the winter, despite planned upgrades for Unit 1 starting next year. The plant halted production on August 13 due to low water levels, prompting authorities to take measures to increase water flow to the facility.
