Centrala nucleară de la Cernavodă nu își va relua activitatea mai devreme de 10 septembrie
The Cernavodă nuclear power plant is unlikely to resume operations before September 10, according to Cristian Bușoi from the Ministry of Energy. Although the Danube's water flow is increasing, the water level at Cernavodă remains unstable. Unit 2 was shut down on August 13 due to low water levels, following the shutdown of Unit 1 at the end of July. Bușoi emphasized that safety procedures must be strictly followed before restarting the reactors. The decision to restart one of the reactors may be made around September 10, contingent on stable water levels. Additionally, Unit 1 is scheduled for modernization next year, but both reactors should operate safely this fall and winter.
