Centrala-gigant de la Mintia intră oficial în etapa probelor. Investitorul poate livra primii megawați în sistemul energetic național

The new gas-fired power plant in Mintia has officially begun its testing phase, allowing energy production and delivery to the national grid. Mass Global Energy Rom, the project developer, is now registered as an energy producer during this trial period. The plant, estimated at 1.2-1.4 billion euros, is set to be the largest gas power unit in the EU on a single site. Daily energy production will be reported to Transelectrica, and the company will receive payments based on market prices. The project aims to start commercial production by late 2026, with a total capacity of 1,677 MW planned by mid-2027. Financing of $500 million has been secured from Emirates Islamic to support the project.
