Centrală fotovoltaică de 9,4 MW la Petromidia. Investiția Rompetrol va asigura energie regenerabilă pentru rafinărie
Rompetrol Rafinare plans to build a 9.4 MW solar power plant at the Petromidia refinery, aimed at self-consumption and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by over 6,000 tons of CO₂ annually. The project, funded partly by a non-repayable grant from the Modernization Fund, will produce over 9,800 MWh of renewable energy each year, sufficient for about 4,900 households. The total investment is approximately 44 million lei, with completion expected by December 31, 2028. This initiative is part of KMG International's decarbonization strategy, which also includes a 4.8 MW solar plant at Vega Ploiești. Petromidia refinery is a key asset for KMG International, contributing significantly to Romania's fuel supply.
