Centrala de la Iernut ar urma să intre în operare în primul trimestru din 2027

The Iernut gas power plant, managed by Romgaz, is set to begin operations by the end of this year and reach full capacity by early 2027. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasizes its strategic importance for Romania's energy system, addressing production deficits in central and western regions. The project has faced delays and contract terminations, but Romgaz has taken over and is working to reactivate subcontractors. All necessary contracts are expected to be operational by mid-September, with the plant entering testing phases this winter.
