Centrala de la Iernut, aproape de final după un deceniu de blocaje. Când ar urma să producă energie
The Iernut power plant is expected to begin testing this winter and operate at full capacity in early next year, according to interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. This strategic project, under development for about ten years, aims to address the energy production and consumption imbalance in Romania. Bolojan emphasized the importance of the plant in replacing coal units and balancing the national energy system, particularly in central and western Romania. Romgaz has taken over the project, which is 90% complete, and is working to finalize contracts with subcontractors to accelerate progress. The goal is for the plant to be operational by the end of the year, contributing to energy needs.
