Centrala de la Cernavodă ar putea fi repornită abia spre sfârşitul lunii septembrie

The Cernavodă nuclear power plant is expected to restart by the end of September, according to interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. He indicated that this, along with the entry of Iernut and Mintia power plants into the system, should lead to a decrease in energy prices next year. Bolojan explained that the drought and low water levels in the Danube have hindered the plant's operation, necessitating the use of alternative energy sources. He noted that the plant contributes about 20% of energy production, and its return will help stabilize the system. Additionally, two large power plants are set to begin operations this winter, which should further increase energy production and potentially lower prices, pending legislative changes.
