Celebrul arc marin Holei din Hawaii s-a prăbuşit în Oceanul Pacific
A colossal marine arch in Hawaii, known as Hōlei, has collapsed into the Pacific Ocean after over 500 years of existence. The arch, located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, was approximately 27 meters tall and formed from lava flows around 550 years ago. Its collapse was confirmed by the park service, noting that it was still standing just days before the incident. The park acknowledged the arch's significance to visitors and highlighted that such natural formations are temporary due to ongoing erosion processes. The park staff had anticipated the eventual collapse but could not predict the exact timing. Visitors are now advised to stay away from unstable cliff edges.
