Cele mai zgomotoase păsări din lume: cântecele lor depășesc 120 de decibeli. „Ca un ciocan pneumatic”

Researchers from the University of Massachusetts Amherst found that the bare-throated bellbird and the red-legged seriema are the loudest birds, with calls exceeding 120 decibels. The bellbird's call reached 122.4 decibels, comparable to a pneumatic hammer. The study measured vocalizations of 123 bird species, revealing that larger birds with wider beaks tend to produce louder sounds. The findings suggest that some birds can be louder than larger animals like elephants, although the exact mechanisms behind their powerful calls remain unclear.
