Bucharest ranks 18th in Time Out's 2026 list of the best cities for street food, being the only European city in the top 20. The ranking is based on a survey of 24,000 residents worldwide, evaluating food accessibility and quality. Ho Chi Minh City tops the list with a 63% approval rating, followed by Kuala Lumpur at 62%. Jakarta and Taipei share the third spot with 59% each. Other notable cities include Mexico City and Manila, both at 58%. Bucharest received a 52% approval rating from locals.
