Cel mai vechi contract de muncă din România are 1.900 de ani. Încheiat în timpul Daciei romane. Ce salariu era • Newsweek România

The oldest employment contract in Romania dates back nearly 1,900 years to Roman Dacia, specifically from 131 AD. Two wax tablets containing these contracts are displayed at the National Museum of Romanian History. These tablets are significant historical documents, providing insights into labor rights during the Roman era. The first tablet, dated February 6, 131 AD, is a work contract, while the second, from May 20, 164 AD, specifies a salary of 70 Roman denarii for five months of labor. The discovery of these tablets was linked to mining activities in Transylvania, revealing economic and social conditions of the time.
