Cel mai vârstnic supraviețuitor din Israel al Holocaustului a murit
Jehuda Aharon Widawski, the oldest Holocaust survivor in Israel, passed away at 107, as reported by Israeli media and the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial. Born in Poland in 1919, he died on Sunday. Israeli President Isaac Herzog expressed condolences, highlighting Widawski's life as a remarkable testament to survival and memory. Widawski survived Auschwitz, losing much of his family during the Nazi regime, and emigrated to Israel in 1950. Since 1978, he worked on restoring Jewish graves in Poland, marking over 3,000 sites. Approximately 109,000 Holocaust survivors remain in Israel today.
