A study reveals that 63.5% of Romanian builders see payment delays as the biggest risk from fiscal uncertainty. Nearly half of entrepreneurs (49%) cite budget cuts as a significant concern, followed by delays in public (44.2%) and private projects (40.4%). Additionally, 31.7% expect price and margin pressures, while 28.8% foresee rising financing costs. Over 76% view the current political and fiscal context as a direct threat to their businesses, with 62.5% anticipating moderate negative impacts in the next year. Despite market instability, more than half expect revenue growth based on contracted projects, while 22.2% predict declines. The study analyzed over 1,200 active projects, highlighting a strong focus on public works, particularly infrastructure.
