A new modern border crossing point between Romania and Ukraine has opened in Maramureș, enhancing strategic and economic ties. The project includes a bridge over the Tisa River and aims to improve Romania's relevance in the EU and NATO. The official inauguration took place with local authorities, featuring a 270-meter bridge and new infrastructure for vehicle and passenger transport. Initially, the crossing allows vehicles up to 3.5 tons, with plans for future expansion to freight and pedestrian traffic.
