Romania is set to build the largest solar park in the EU, capable of supplying energy for one million people by 2030. The Dama solar park, located in Arad County, has received authorization from the National Energy Regulatory Authority. With an installed capacity of 1.24 GW, it could generate up to 10.86 TWh annually, significantly boosting Romania's renewable energy output. The project aims to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and create over 500 jobs. Additionally, it will include a nature reserve and plans for energy storage systems.
