NEPI Rockcastle has acquired MegaPark Barakaldo in Spain for €252 million, marking its first investment outside Central and Eastern Europe. The shopping center spans 81,000 square meters and serves around 1.1 million residents in the Bilbao metropolitan area. This acquisition allows NEPI to enter a dynamic market, leveraging its experience in property management and development. The Spanish retail market shows strong demand, with a high occupancy rate of 94.3%. NEPI Rockcastle's portfolio is valued at approximately €8.2 billion, with ongoing investments exceeding €840 million.
