Cel mai lung zbor fără escală din lume: Project Sunrise Qantas

Qantas plans to launch a direct flight from Sydney to London in October 2027, lasting 22 hours, making it the longest non-stop passenger flight in the world. The initial launch was delayed from 2025 due to technical issues and the pandemic. This new route will cover 17,015 kilometers, reducing travel time by up to four hours compared to current one-stop flights. As part of Project Sunrise, Qantas will also introduce a direct flight to New York in mid-2028. The airline will use 12 new Airbus A350-1000ULR aircraft, designed for comfort with reduced passenger capacity and wellness zones onboard. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered in April 2024.
