Cel mai dulce dovleac din România, obținut la Dăbuleni. A fost omologat
Researchers from the Dabuleni Research Station have developed a new pumpkin variety, recognized as the sweetest in Romania, with sugar content reaching 16%. The pumpkin features a gray skin and flattened shape, with high-quality seeds valued at around 200 lei per kilogram. This year, approximately 3 tons were harvested from 2 hectares, and the research focuses on the pulp's qualities. The pumpkin's sweetness is attributed to the local sandy soil and climate conditions, making it unique in the country. Farmers have already begun cultivating it and are satisfied with the yield, while plans are in place to expand the cultivation area next year.
