This initiative aims to combat illegal logging, following the discovery of over 1,000 cubic meters of illegally cut timber in Alba, resulting in damages exceeding one million lei. The new application by the Ministry of Environment allows citizens to participate in inspections, enhancing transparency and trust in the authorities. The Minister highlighted that inspections have increased significantly, with a notable rise in identified illegal logging cases. The initiative is part of broader reforms to improve the effectiveness of the Forest Guard.
