Czech Republic becomes the first NATO country to deploy the SPYDER air defense system from Israel's Rafael, enhancing its air defense capabilities against various threats. The country ordered four SPYDER batteries, with two already delivered and undergoing interoperability tests. This modular system can intercept short to medium-range aerial threats, including drones and guided munitions. The Czech defense strategy aims for a layered air defense, incorporating future systems against ballistic missiles and specialized drone interceptors.
