CEDO renunţă să mai examineze cazurile individuale care implică Rusia pentru că „deja s-a pronunţat suficient” pe acest subiect

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has decided to stop examining cases related to human rights violations in Russia, citing sufficient prior rulings. A total of 879 individual applications will be abandoned, covering issues like treatment of opposition figures, repressive legislation, and freedom of expression. Although Russia was expelled from the Council of Europe in 2022, it remains accountable for actions taken before that date. The ECHR's decision is final but does not absolve Russia of its international responsibilities regarding human rights. Cases related to Russia's wars in Ukraine and Georgia will still be reviewed.
