CEC Bank co-finances construction of 45 million-euro oil processing plant in Cluj County
CEC Bank is co-financing a €45 million oil processing plant in Mihai Viteazu, Cluj County, with a daily capacity of 600 tonnes of seeds. The facility will include storage silos and an agrivoltaic installation to lower costs and carbon emissions. This investment aims to enhance Romania's agri-food sector by processing local agricultural output, reducing reliance on imports. The project is led by the Transylvania Plateau Agricultural Co-operative, involving 21 farmers, and is expected to be operational by late 2027.
