Ceai sau cafea? Băutura pe care o alegi zilnic ar putea influența sănătatea oaselor

A study from Australian researchers indicates that regular tea consumption may be linked to higher bone mineral density in older women, while high coffee intake could have the opposite effect. The research involved nearly 9,700 women over 65 in the U.S., analyzing their tea and coffee habits over about 10 years. Women who regularly consumed tea showed slightly higher hip bone density, potentially due to catechins in tea that may support bone tissue formation. However, the study does not prove that tea prevents osteoporosis. In contrast, women drinking more than five cups of coffee daily had lower bone density, possibly due to caffeine's effect on calcium absorption. The findings highlight the importance of calcium and vitamin D for bone health, and further research is needed to confirm these associations.
