Cea mai sigură metodă de a spăla fructele și legumele. Elimini 99% dintre bacterii
Tap water can effectively remove up to 99% of bacteria from fruits and vegetables, outperforming soaps and special cleaning products, according to food safety experts. Most fresh produce reaches consumers without harmful pathogens. The FDA advises against using soaps or detergents for washing produce due to potential health risks from residues. A study found that plain water was most effective against bacteria like E. coli, Listeria, and Salmonella. For cleaning, rinsing is recommended, and for dirty vegetables, soaking followed by rinsing is suggested. Hard-shelled fruits should be rinsed before cutting, while pre-washed packaged vegetables do not need additional washing to avoid cross-contamination.
