Tramway rail replacements on Ion Mihalache Boulevard conflict with metro works at 1 Mai Square, causing detours and increased congestion in already busy areas. The ongoing construction at Podul Constanța is expected to finish by October 15, while the longest active site spans 18 kilometers across several major boulevards. Traffic is restricted on 1 Decembrie 1918 Boulevard, with only one lane open. The city has initiated 63 construction sites, affecting 17 heavily trafficked boulevards and 15 public transport lines. The extensive works are organized to minimize disruption, but significant delays are anticipated for commuters this season.
