Perućica, located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is recognized as Europe's most isolated forest, featuring ancient trees and minimal human impact. This tropical reserve spans 1,400 hectares and is part of Sutjeska National Park. Access is strictly regulated to protect its unique ecosystem, requiring visitors to be accompanied by authorized guides. The forest is home to diverse wildlife and notable attractions like the Skakavac waterfall. Other forests, such as Otzareta in the Basque Country and Wistman's Wood in England, also rank among the most secluded in Europe.
