Cea mai mare bază NATO din Europa se face în România

The modernization of the Mihail Kogălniceanu military base will officially begin, aiming to become the largest NATO base in Europe by 2040. The project includes the demolition of old structures and the construction of housing, a hospital, and other facilities, accommodating 20,000 soldiers. The total investment is estimated at 2.5 billion euros, with funding from the Ministry of Defense and potential EU support. The base will function as a small NATO city by the Black Sea, covering 2,300 hectares and featuring various military and administrative facilities.
