Aukera has secured a €48.5 million financing agreement with IFC for the second phase of its Gura Ialomiței Battery Energy Storage System in Romania. This funding will complete a 250 MW / 500 MWh project, making it the largest battery storage capacity in Romania and one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe. The second phase is expected to be operational by early 2027, following the successful completion of the first phase. The project aims to enhance energy stability and support renewable energy integration in Romania's grid.
