The tallest statue of the Virgin Mary in Europe has been inaugurated in Poland, reaching 55.6 meters. Located in Konotopie, it surpasses other famous statues and features a panoramic platform. Funded by billionaire Roman Karkosik, the project cost nearly 23 million euros and was completed in a year and a half. While it has put the small village on the map, some locals criticize the expenditure, suggesting funds could have been better used for healthcare or orphanages.
