The 14th edition of the Haferland Festival opens on Thursday, featuring various cultural events celebrating Transylvanian Saxon heritage. The festival spans ten villages and includes concerts, theater performances, and workshops. This year's theme is 'Longing for Transylvania,' emphasizing the connection to roots and traditions. Notable guests include Nadia Comăneci, who will participate in activities and celebrate her gymnastics legacy. The festival also introduces the Youth Haferland initiative, fostering cultural engagement among young people. The official opening will take place in Archita, with a diverse program planned for attendees.
