Ce sunt dronele Shahed (Geran 2), precum cea identificată de piloți la Buzău
The Shahed 136 drone, also known as Geran-2, is an Iranian-made loitering munition used by Russia in the Ukraine conflict. Identified by pilots in Buzău, it is designed for long-range autonomous flight and self-destruction upon impact. Unlike traditional military drones, it does not return to base and is considered a cost-effective flying bomb. Western security services report that Iran initially sold these drones to Russia, which now produces thousands monthly. The drone measures about 3.5 meters in length, has a wingspan of 2.5 meters, and carries an explosive payload of 40-50 kg, with an estimated range of 1,000 to 2,500 km.
