She believes that women can effectively manage female inmates due to their understanding nature. Ana, an inmate, shares her experience, stating that having female staff makes it easier to discuss personal issues. The Târgșorul Nou prison houses nearly 60% of the country's female inmates, with a total of 600 women serving sentences. Overall, there are 12,700 prison officers in Romania, with around 2,500 being women.
