The mayor of Oradea, Florin Birta, has stated that a decision regarding the Pride march scheduled for Saturday will be made on Wednesday. He acknowledged the pressure from European officials to respect LGBT rights but hinted that many local residents oppose the event. The decision will be made by the Public Gatherings Approval Commission, which recently met with the organizers, ARK Oradea and ACCEPT, to discuss the proposed routes. Past events have faced restrictions due to overlapping activities or city works, and this year, organizers submitted 115 route options to avoid previous issues.
