Global coffee production for the 2026/27 season is projected to reach a record 189.7 million bags, driven by increases in Brazil, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Vietnam. This rise offsets losses in India and Indonesia, leading to a significant boost in global exports. Brazil's coffee output is expected to rise to 71.9 million bags, representing nearly 40% of global production. Coffee prices have dropped by 25% over the past seven months due to increased supply, with the global reference price for green coffee at 282 cents per pound in July 2026. Global consumption is also anticipated to hit a record 179.7 million bags, particularly in the EU and the US.
