Starting September 1, the current health card will gradually be replaced by the electronic identity card (CEI), allowing patients to access the 'E-Sănătatea Mea' digital platform. This platform will enable both patients and doctors to view medical records and prescriptions online. The CNAS president emphasized that both documents will operate simultaneously for a period. The CEI will serve as a health card and will be issued free of charge to Romanian citizens aged 14 and older. The 'E-Sănătatea Mea' platform will feature 12 modules, including medical history and prescription tracking, and will provide a user-friendly experience. While using the platform is not mandatory, it offers an alternative for those familiar with digital tools.
