The National Institute of Statistics reported a 0.4% decrease in the raw series and a 2% decrease in the seasonally adjusted series. For the first half of 2026, GDP fell by 0.8% compared to the first half of 2025. The adjustments in the quarterly series were made to reflect new statistical observations, affecting previous results for 2025 and early 2026. Seasonal adjustments are recalculated quarterly according to European practices.
