In the second quarter of 2026, GDP increased by 0.4% in the Eurozone and 0.5% in the EU, showing growth compared to previous stagnation. Ireland, Lithuania, and Slovenia reported the highest growth rates, while Romania, Belgium, and Austria stagnated. Year-on-year, the Eurozone grew by 1% and the EU by 1.2%. Employment also rose by 0.1% in both regions compared to the previous quarter.
