Pian died on June 6, 2025, after experiencing health issues but receiving delayed medical assistance. Despite being able to board the ambulance, he went into cardiac arrest before leaving the prison. Officials stated he was pronounced dead after resuscitation efforts. Pian was serving a sentence for assault related to a family conflict. His family initially considered legal action against the prison but later abandoned it due to fears of retaliation from authorities. Cardiovascular issues appear to be hereditary in his family, as both his brother and father also died from heart-related conditions.
